What is an oil relaxing massage at Angel Massage?
An oil relaxing massage is our most relaxing session — designed to help you unwind, slow your breathing, and reset after a long day or a hard week. We warm a light oil and use long, smooth, gliding strokes from your shoulders down to your feet. The warmth helps loosen tight muscles, and the oil lets the therapist's hands move without any pulling on your skin.
This is not a deep, work-it-out session. It is the kind of massage where you breathe slowly, feel the warmth spread, and quietly drift. Many regulars choose oil relaxing on Sundays before the new week starts, or after long travel when their whole body — not just one spot — feels worn. Pressure stays in the light-to-medium range so the focus stays on calm, not on knots. Want this for your visit? Tell us on the bottom right and we will set the room up before you arrive.
Who is oil relaxing massage for?
Oil relaxing is a strong choice when:
- Your whole body feels tired, not just one spot — sitting all day, long flights, weeks without rest.
- You want to unwind, not work it out — light to medium pressure, no deep pinpoint pressure.
- You sleep badly and want a session that helps slow your nervous system before bed.
- You are new to massage and want something gentle to start with — oil relaxing is the friendliest entry point.
- Your skin or muscles feel dry and tight — the warm oil rehydrates and softens.
If you mostly need work on a specific knot or chronic pain, Deep Tissue or Stress Relief is a better fit. Not sure which to pick? Chat with us on the bottom right and tell us what you are feeling — we will match you.

What to expect at your oil relaxing session
Walk in any time between 9 AM and 9 PM. We check you in at the front, ask about pressure preference, any sore spots to skip, and any oil sensitivities. If we have a brief wait, we tell you the truth on the spot.
You go to a private room with a closing door. The room has a single massage table with fresh linens, a face cradle, soft light, and quiet music. We step out so you can change in privacy under the sheet to your own comfort level — many people leave underwear on, some prefer to remove it for full lower-back access. Either is completely fine.
Your therapist warms the oil before they start so you do not feel a cold first stroke. They begin at your back and work outward — shoulders, arms, lower back, legs — then ask you to turn over for the front of the body. Pressure stays in the light-to-medium range; if you want firmer or lighter at any point, just say so. The session ends with a quiet minute on your shoulders or temples so you do not get up too quickly. Total visit usually runs 45-50 minutes door to door for a 30-minute session, 75 minutes for a 60-minute session.
Anything to set up beforehand — extra blanket, lights even lower, no music? Send a note on the bottom right and we will have it ready.
Our therapists
All of our therapists are trained in oil relaxing technique — long flowing strokes, even pressure, smooth transitions between body areas. They are used to guests who want to fall quiet within the first five minutes and who do not want to chat during the session. They will not interrupt you with small talk; they will work in silence unless you start the conversation. Communication is easy at check-in and check-out — the entire team speaks enough English to take your preferences clearly. Want to request a specific therapist you have seen before? Oil relaxing massage FAQ
What kind of oil do you use? Will it stain my clothes?
We use a light, neutral massage oil that absorbs into the skin and is unscented or very lightly scented. After the session, we wipe off any extra oil with warm towels so you can dress comfortably. Most guests do not notice any oil on their clothes after, but if you have a fancy outfit on or are heading straight to a meeting, plan a quick shower at home or wear something casual. Got sensitive skin? Tell us on the bottom right before you arrive.
30 minutes or 60 minutes — which is better for relaxing?
For a true relaxing experience, the 60-minute session at $60 is the better choice. Thirty minutes is enough to feel a noticeable difference, but a full 60 minutes lets your nervous system actually slow down — most people drift halfway through. If your time or budget is tight, the 30-minute at $40 is still a real, complete session, just shorter. Want help deciding based on what you have today? Chat with us on the bottom right.
Will I be cold during the massage?
You should not be. We keep the room comfortable, the oil is warmed before each stroke, and we keep you covered with a sheet — only the area being worked on is exposed at a time. If you tend to run cold, tell us at check-in or send a quick note on the bottom right and we will add an extra warm blanket to the table. We'd rather over-prepare than have you shivering halfway in.
Can I shower right after, or should I wait?
You can shower whenever you like. Most guests prefer to wait an hour or two so the oil keeps softening the skin, but if you have something to go to right after, a quick rinse is totally fine. If you are heading straight to work or out to dinner, mention it at check-in and we can use less oil and wipe down more thoroughly with warm towels at the end. Send a heads-up on the bottom right if your schedule is tight.
I'm allergic to certain oils. What can you do?
Tell us before your session and we will switch to a hypoallergenic, fragrance-free option, or skip oil entirely and use a light lotion instead. We have alternatives on hand for most common sensitivities. The most important thing is that you mention it at check-in so we never put anything on your skin you have not approved. Want to share your allergy list ahead of time? Send it on the bottom right and we will have the right product set out for you.
Can I fall asleep during the massage?
Absolutely — and many guests do. Falling asleep is one of the strongest signs your nervous system is actually relaxing, which is what oil relaxing massage is designed for. Your therapist will keep working quietly without disturbing you and will gently let you know when the session is ending. No embarrassment, no awkward small talk afterward. If sleeping during your session is exactly what you want, tell us on the bottom right and we will keep the room extra quiet.
